James Coddinton was just awarded a stay of execution. James is on death row for killing his coworker Alan Hale back in 1997 because he refused to give James 50 for drug money.
This crime happened in the state of Ohlahoma and when James was sentenced to death, he chose firing squad as the method he wanted to due. Well now, the state no longer offers that method so he will be executed by lethal injection. He filed an appeal challenging the 3 drug concoction for the lethal injection execution and he was awarded a stay.
Let me know what you guys think. Back then some inmates chose their method of execution and nowadays there is no option other than lethal injection. Is that grounds for an appeal to you?
There are other methods like firing squad, which is used here in Utah, it's just a matter if the state recognizes it as a legal form of execution. I say "let all 50 states recognize it so we the tax payers don't have to feed and house these killers any longer then need be. The appeal process takes far too long as it is and the court dockets are too overcrowded with all these appeals so the shorter the process the better" in my humble opinion.
Method of execution shouldn’t be a reason for appeal. Did they give victims a choice?
he shouldn't have a choice for how he is put to death he was found guilty by a jury of his peers and now the sentence should be carried out stop wasting the taxpayers money hell I'll support a good Ole fashioned center square hanging he can't do the time maybe he shouldn't have did the crime
