Recently I told the story of Gary Lee Sampson. He killed 3 people and was on death row. He died on December 21, 2021 from liver disease(likely from him getting a hepatitis C infection that was left untreated). Gary died at the age of 62. He was diagnosed when with liver disease in 2016 and from records on an old appeal, Gary argued that he should be taken off of death row because he was terminally ill. There was documentation in that appeal giving him only 3 years to live because he was at the end stage of his liver disease. That appeal was filed when Gary was 55 years old. Obviously the death sentence was still upheld and he finished the rest of his days on death row.

He's already terminally ill so would not have long left, shove in hospital let him die, save money
Thanks to one of my subs for letting me know about this update. I actually did not know he had liver disease when I initially did his story. Do you guys think terminally ill inmates should get a pass and live out the rest of their days in a hospital?
